How to Adjust a 15 Month Old Sleep Schedule

A 15 month old sleep schedule is a good idea if you want your child to get better sleep. It allows your child to sleep independently, leading to longer sleep periods. If your child is struggling with going to sleep, you can try changing the time of the nightly feeding to an earlier time. Another option is to change the nap time to later in the afternoon instead of early evening. You may even want to try limiting it to an hour.
At about fifteen months, most little ones will transition to only one nap daily. You can make this transition easier by following a regular schedule.

Move lunch time one hour earlier and gradually move the nap time until the afternoon. One nap should start around noon, but your child may need two if they are transitioning. You can start by keeping the afternoon nap at one hour and a half. In addition, you may want to keep in mind that your child may have difficulty staying awake for two full hours at one time.
When adjusting a 15-month-old’s sleep schedule, you must ensure that the child is getting enough rest. While it may seem that your child is napping more than normal, you should note this because it can interfere with your child’s nighttime sleep schedule.

Contact a doctor if your child has difficulty sleeping at night. In addition, you may need to adjust your child’s 15-month-old sleep schedule if your child is experiencing frequent wakings or independent sleeping.

The 15-month-old sleep schedule also requires a nap. Babies are typically awake for about three hours during the day. However, some toddlers can transition to a single nap at this age. The signs to watch for when it comes to dropping naps include very short naps, resistance to nap time, and sleeping less than ten hours at night.

A baby who consistently drops naps is typically around 18 months old.
Ideally, you should aim to wake your baby between two and four hours for two naps. After these naps, your child may take catnaps between the main naps. It would help if you also tried to stick to a regular schedule. Try to make the nap time earlier if your child is overtired. You can also try to teach your child about naps by taking online classes. However, you will need to be very patient as they may be stubborn the first time.

After you’ve mastered the art of letting your toddler nap, you can move the nap time to a time when your child will be more content to sleep. For example, you should move lunch back an hour to avoid the afternoon nap and avoid putting him to bed too late at night. A short nap time may also be difficult, but you should try to make it as easy as possible for your toddler. And if you can’t get him to sleep, you can try moving lunch back a few hours if your toddler doesn’t want to sleep, which should help you get him to a later time.

After some time, your baby should start to drop the morning nap. It may take several months, so don’t give up on it yet. Instead, try pushing the afternoon nap back by twenty to thirty minutes daily. Eventually, your baby will be able to get some sleep at midday and will be less fussy in the evening. Your 15-month-old sleep schedule will help you get the best rest you can. You can even get out of the house in the middle of the day.

Your 15-month-old will start to recognize objects and names. Despite their lack of understanding, they will soon be able to identify the shapes and sizes of objects in their surroundings, including objects and foods. And the child will probably be able to name some parts of his body, such as his ears and nose. If your child isn’t familiar with the names of these objects, try explaining that they’re just toys.

Even though your 15-month-old doesn’t sleep for long, you can still use this time for a nap or a story. Your child’s body will respond better to familiarity. For example, soak your baby in warm water with a soothing bath. Alternatively, read a book to your child before bedtime. It can help calm him down and improve his vocabulary. White noise can also help soothe your child, and it can drown out loud siblings so that he will sleep better.
